1. Q: How long does it take to get my CDs back?
A: Standard turnaround is generally 7-12 business days from the moment you approve your proofs (which we send to you within 24 hours of receiving your art files), but this assumes that your master AND your art files are perfect. If we need fonts, you've given us artwork in another company's templates, your designer hasn't created bleed, or used low resolution images, etc., your project can drag on for as long as it takes for us to receive professional, print-ready files. The most common reason a project is delayed is that the client has not used a professional print designer! (link this part to our GRAPHIC ART DEPT)

  2. Q: What is the capacity to hold data on CDs and DVDs?
A: CDs generally are 700 MegaBytes while DVDs are 4.7 GigaBytes.

  3. Q: What is 4/1 and 4/4 and 4/0?
A: In relation to a printed piece of paper—
4/4 means: Full color (or 4 color process) on both sides
4/0 means: Full color (or 4 color process) on one side/NO PRINT on the other. Posters are usually 4/0. And traycards are sometimes 4/0 with a black or white tray on top of the unprinted side.

  4. Q: What do you need from me to get an order going?
A: We need 3 things: (1) Your master—preferrably 2 copies, (2) Your artwork in OUR templates. (3) Payment---in full or 70% deposit. Cash, check, moneyorder or credit card (Visa, MC, Amex). If paying order with personal check you must pay the full balance before production commences.

  5. Q: Can you guarantee me I will have my CDs by my CD release party?
A: Unless you pay a rush fee, we will not guarantee any deadlines. See question one for some of the reasons why deadlines are not guaranteed in this industry.

  6. Q: Will my master sound any different than the one I give to you?
A: Our guarantee is that the product we give back to you is an exact clone of what you give us. In the very rare instance when a client gets a product that has "clips", or unusual noises in the product, these defects have always been on the master given to us. We are not responsible for listening to your master.

  7. Q: What if the electronic proof I was sent does not look as high resolution as my art, or if the colors seem different?
A: Electronic proofs are ONLY meant for proofing content. Whatever your art looks like on your computer monitor is completely irrelevant -- just go into an electronics store and look at how different television sets look. If you do not get a hard copy proof, we cannot guarantee color matching. If you feel you need a Hardcopy proof the cost is $85 and it will be overnighted to you

  8. Q: I am not a designer; can you help with my CD design?
A: We have professional designers who can make your product look GREAT. We can show you how to provide them with the information they need to quickly assemble your art files so that you save money AND get a professional looking product. Please see our Graphic Art Dept page for more details.

  9. Q: With all the CD Duplication companies out there, what is the real difference?
A: Customer Service. Have you tried calling companies and only got voice-mail? This is the customer service you can expect from many of the smaller duplication companies. In addition, many clients return frustrated after dealing with the larger companies because their project doesn't get the personal attention it deserves. At CD Broker, we like taking time to not only answer all your questions, but also educate the client so there are no surprises when you get your discs back. This can range from graphic design advice to assistance obtaining a mechanical license for your cover song. We strive to provide customer service that exceeds your expectations.

"The Spencer Outfit loves the work that cd rollout has done for us.  The eco wallets are GREAT, the service was smooth and they worked hard to get the cds to us fast, at least two days before we thought we were going to get them.  Their prices were even better than 3 other companies we looked into!  CDR RULES!!"  TSO
